  1. Hi,

Do you know the name exactly? Because Akendiz is not a Turkish name. Also do you have the image with higher resolution?

    Thanks,

  2. I can't find any better photo's i'm afraid but i've been given two reports from last week confirming the name that been given to the aircraft. The name was read off from the right hand side of the aircraft so it maybe in the Turkish language on the left hand side either way 'Akendiz' is the name for the Aircraft.
    Thanks for your enquiry.

  3. I guess that it could be 'Akdeniz' instead of 'Akendiz'. Because Turkish Airlines gives names of cities or regions of Turkey, and I am Turkish, this name does not look like logical. Also, Turkish Airlines plans to remove B777s leased form Jet Airways from their fleet, and the name of the first leased aircraft is 'Akdeniz'. Maybe, they try to replace the names of leased aircrafts. But, anyways, we can be sure about this when new pictures are taken.

    Thanks you for your interest.

  4. You could well be correct as to you Akdeniz is more correct, there is a possibility that it could of been painted incorrectly so hopefully new photos will show the name it is actually carrying.
