Sometimes before the aircraft is built ...Hi Andreas<br />Sometimes before the aircraft is built the aircraft is actually owned by the airline which in this case is Norwegian Air shuttle which is why it's a -8JP but at some point before or during being built the airline sells the aircraft to a leasing company like Ansett Worldwide then leases the aircraft back, but as the aircraft was originally ordered by the airline & not the leasing company it still retains it's customer code -8JP & will only be a -81D if Ansett Worldwide ordered the aircraft then leased it to a airline, Another example is WestJet who also lease some of their aircraft but still retain -?CT customer code.<br />To my knowledge the call signs follow in sequential order with the airline which in this case BOE247 LN-NOY, BOE248 LN-NOZ & BOE249 LN-DYX which is scheduled for delivery the end of February.<br />Regards<br />JohnJohnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16654455204040883697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8792085418375609395.post-22131506513185121152011-12-17T04:41:47.130-08:002011-12-17T04:41:47.130-08:00This is an -81D, isn't it?
